Comprehensive Piano Study: A balanced program of repertoire and technique along with theory, sight
reading, keyboard history, ear training, improvisation, and performance in a private lesson setting. Lessons can be personalized
to reflect a student's interest in classical, jazz, or pop piano. Lessons are taught on well maintained, regularly tunes Yamaha
studio pianos.
Violin, Viola and String Bass are available for all ages and levels. Traditional
methods are offered at the studio that emphasize note reading, theory, sight reading, and string technique. Students are exposed
to a variety of different styles of music, and will study both solo and ensemble pieces.
Woodwind and Brass
instruction is available and covers breathing and posture, tone quality, rhythmic study, technique and sight reading.
Acoustic
Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass Instruction: Students progress through method courses to develop the necessary
fundamentals for advanced guitar or bass study. Note reading, technique, improvisational skills, music theory, and ear training
are emphasized. Students are encouraged to develop their own repertoire and style requesting music they are interested in
learning. Additional exercises are tailored to the student's needs.
Vocal Instruction: Our lesson
emphasize proper vocal technique which include correct breath support, tone production, vowel formation, diction, phrasing,
and interpretation. Repertoire will include art songs in both English and foreign languages, American folk songs, musical
theatre and pop music.
